St Thomas Nursery School had its humble beginnings 26 years ago and was established by the SABS congregation in 1996 at Yarandahalli, Anekal Taluk, Bengaluru. The main purpose of starting this school is to uplift and empower the downtrodden and destitute people of this area. To enhance skill-based education, classes of LKG and UKG were started using Kannada as a teaching medium in 2005 with a total strength of 30 students. With the approval of Mother Provincial -Mother Lucius, we started classes from 1 to 4 commenced on 3rd June 2005 under the supervision of Principal Sr. Mercy Kuzhykombu SABS and Vice Principal Sr. Josephine D’souza SABS. They rendered their selfless service until 2010. In 2011, classes 5 and 6 were included raising the total strength to 310. Because of the quality of education, the Education Department of Karnataka sanctioned the approval to start higher classes in 2012. To accommodate Pre-Nursery and higher classes, a foundation Stone was laid by Rev. Mother Provincial.

The first batch of SSLC was commemorated in 2013 having Kannada as the first language under the guidance of Principal Sr. Majella Kureethadam SABS. Students’ critical thinking has been enhanced by including technology-based classes using TEACH NEXT software since 2013 with the approval of Principal Sr. Fathima Mendoza SABS. The strength of the school increased from 440 to 910 because of her dedication, hard work and perseverance to ensure the growth and development of the school. In 2018, Principal Sr.Rose Maria Thekkethottiyil SABS took over the post and under the supervision and guidance of the School Manager Sr.Tessy Kappalumackal SABS, she sought permission from the Education Department of Karnataka to change the Kannada medium (class 1 to 4) to English medium and succeeded in availing the approval. Many educational measures have been implemented to improve the quality of education. A great initiative was taken to conduct online classes using various educational tools, techniques and strategies due to covid situation and lockdown for two years. (2020-2022).The school was renovated with various amenities and Ebix smart class was included in the technology-based education.
