INFANT JESUS ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL, KOOTHATTUKULAM
Infant Jesus English Medium School was established in 1996 by the Sisters of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Christu Raja Province, Pala. The seed that was planted as a Nursery School in 1994 at the Devamatha Hills has today grown into a big tree bearing many productive fruits every year. Under the initiative and guidance of our manager Mother Joyce Maria, the foundation stone for the present School building was laid on 10th August 1995 and it started to function on 3rd June 1996-1997. Today the school has two magnificent Blocks of two storey buildings with well furnished class rooms to accommodate our students. The school is affiliated to Kerala Board of Education and follows the SCERT Syllabus
As a catholic institution its educational policy is imbued with the vision and mission of Jesus. We are with the motto “Love and Serve” and we inspire the students the same. It is extremely noteworthy that the institution considered it to be its duty to nurture its students as sensitive people with strong values who will contribute their individual achievements to strengthen the fabrics of the society. The school is known to have been discharging its duties in explicit manner.
Since its journey from its very beginning IJEMHS has earned very considerable appreciation from all walks of life for imparting value based education and academic excellence, strict sense of discipline and high moral values
Academic Excellence
Our first SSLC batch was in the scholastic year 2005-06. And we have moulded 17 SSLC Batches with 100% and splendid results. We are very proud to announce that our school stands the prime position in our educational District. The academic year consists of three term evaluation mid-term evaluation and monthly tests. Parents are invited to school to assess the performance of their ward. We provide moral and religious instructions too. We have well set computer lab, Digital classrooms, Science Lab and Library etc.
Sports and Games
Our endeavor has always been all round development of character, personality and various skills of our students. Hence we give prominent importance to sports and games. We have our own basketball & football teams, both for boys and girls
Arts and extracurricular Activities
Students are given maximum opportunities to develop their talents through various activities such as school kalotsave, subject Fairs. Also they have the facilities to join guiding, Red Cross, band, dance, music, karate, yoga, swimming etc. And we are about to begin scout, NCC, CUBS, BUL-BUL etc. House wise activities and competition are conducted. Day celebrations are done with its full spirit. To teach our students the value of hard work, self –reliance, discipline and social commitment various measures are adopted like flash mob, project works etc. various type f gardening such as vegetables, fruits, flowers and herbal gardens etc to set connected with mother nature. Hence IJEMHS continues its glorious journey in the field of education.
We fondly remember our parents of our students who are always willing to help and co-operative with us for the progress of the school. Thank you very much for the trust you have repose and we assure you that we will not make you despair.
